Conventional course reserves, exam and test material

Course reserves contain literature for individual courses which take place within the current semester.

At the specialized educational sciences library we put together reference material ahead of tests. You will find these test material in the reading room on the fifth floor next to the information desk.

The specialized library law and the specialized library study of literature and linguistics
provides reference material ahead of tests. You will find these test material on the third and the fourth floor next to the information desk.

To set up course reserves please use our online form.

Course reserves will be compiled at the beginning of summer or winter term. The submission deadlines are March, 1st for summer term and September, 1st for winter term. Literature lists will be processed in the order of their arrival. It might be possible that literature lists turned in after deadline cannot be dealt with immediately.

Literature lists for test or exam material have to be given to the library at least four weeks ahead of the assembly date. Please inform us about the desired assembly and cancellation date.

Up to 20 titles can be made available per course for the duration of a semester. Exceptions are only possible upon request. The course reserves may contain literature of all sites of the TIB/UB and of the GLWB/NLB. Course reserves may not contain journals of the TIB/UB and books from external libraries.

In case of a co-operative class, please choose one name for the course reserve. Exam or test material will bear the name of the seminar.

A literature list needs to include the following data:

• Name of the tutor
• desired literature (author, title, shelf mark)
• Please mark literature that is not available at the library as acquisition request (in the box "Bemerkungen")
• notes or comments

We do not guarantee  completeness of the course reserves by the start of the lecture period.

• Summer semester - after the 30th September
• Winter semester - after the 31th March
• Extensions must be agreed upon with the respective member of the processing staff on a timely basis. 

As a rule the books are available for short term loan (night or weekend loan). Books from course reserves in building 1, exam and test material are in general not available for loan.
