Leibniz Universität Hannover Establishes Open Access Publishing Fund: Apply now!

Reimbursement of Open Access Publishing Costs

In 2013, Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) established a € 50,000 Publishing Fund with support from the German Research Foundation (DFG). University scientists can be granted resources from this fund to cover the open access publishing costs, thus embracing the open access concept.

Open access scientific publications provide free global online access. They can be read in full, downloaded or duplicated by the reader free of charge. However, author’s fees or article processing fees are sometimes charged for the publication of the article. In many cases, these fees can be financed from the recently established fund. Open Access Publishing Fund resources can be awarded if all alternative sources of finance have been exhausted. This applies in particular to the publication of results obtained from third-party-funded research.

If you have any questions concerning applications, eligibility or the reimbursement of open access publishing costs, please contact staff at the German National Library of Science and Technology and University Library (TIB/UB). Applications for support from this fund can be submitted with immediate effect. The relevant forms and contact data can be found on the TIB/UB website.
