Specialized databases
The database infosystem (DBIS) is available to you for using specialist databases. It lists databases which are licensed to members of the LUH together with free scientific databases, which are freely accessible online.
The database infosystem (DBIS) is a cooperative project that the UB Regensburg has initiated, and to which many scientific libraries actively contribute.
The database information system (DBIS) lists:
- Online databases for which the TIB/UB has acquired licenses and which can be used in the campus network of the LUH,
- Databases which are freely accessible in the Internet
- CD-ROM databases of which the majority can be accessed from research workstations in the TIB/UB.
Off-campus access
Members of the LUH, which includes students, professors, scientific staff as well as technical and administrative personnel, also have off-campus access to the licensed databases.
Identification by library card is necessary for access, which must be approved to use this service. If you are not sure of your status then please enquire at one of the lending locations.
Attention: Due to abusive usage of licensed databases, this kind of registration is only avaible to employees of the LUH until further notice.
Access to databases from home is not open by default to members of other universities in Hanover nor for ordinary and regional users. Access for these is permitted on location at the sites of the TIB/UB.
