About us
The TIB/UB provides students, researchers and teaching staff from all faculties of the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) as well as citizens in the region who are interested in science with literature and specialised information in printed and electronic form. The TIB/UB enables online access to a multitude of catalogues, databases, electronic full texts and document delivery services, even from home. In the course of the future-oriented expansion of the digital library, the TIB/UB is constantly increasing its selection of electronic publications and specialised databases. The Universitätsarchiv Hannover (University Archives of Hannover) and several special collections, as well as the Europäische Dokumentationszentrum (EDZ).
The Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) is also the German National Library for technology as well as civil engineering, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics. It is also the world's largest specialised library for science and technology and part of the national research infrastructure Its function is the comprehensive procurement and archival storage of technical scientific literature from all over the world. The excellent collections guarantee a very good supply of literature for the technical-scientific courses.
Sites
The 5 sites of the TIB/UB are open 95 hours per week. We offer 1700 seats in our reading rooms for studying and working. WLAN is available at all sites.
