Peter-Brückner-Archive

Peter Brückner lectured at Hannover University from 1967 to 1982.

Apart from its considerable scientific and research interest, his work also provides some important insights into the history of the Federal Republic of Germany, which he analysed and commented on from the perspective of a social psychologist.

All published works of Peter Brückner are comprised in the collections of the Specialized Library of Social Sciences (FBS).The Peter-Brückner-Archiv consists of his bequest including among others unpublished manuscripts, typescripts, fragments, notes, speeches, radio broadcasts and other documents from the years 1953 to 1982.
The materials document both the man and his scientific research work. The archive gives us an insight into the history of the institution and science of psychology in Hannover. Furthermore, it provides us with press and radio source material on the political climate in the Federal Republic of Germany in the 1970s and at the start of the 1980s.
