Bookbinder (m/f)

The 3 year training programme as bookbinder is available with three specializations:

• Individual and special productions
• Book production (series)
• Print finishing (series)

The practical training programme with specialization in individual and special productions takes place at the TIB/UB. The theoretical studies take place at the Multi-Media-BBS.
 
As a rule the main work of the bookbinder in the trade lies in individual and special productions as well as the repair of old books.
 
Expected is an interest in dealing with books and printed materials, manual dexterity, powers of concentration and quick reactions.
Full load bearing capacities of the support and musculoskeletal system, good eyesight and hearing. One must be free of any adhesive/glue allergies.
In addition good grades in German, mathematics, and in arts and crafts are a requirement.
