Miscellaneous internships

The TIB/UB facilitates library-related internships of all kinds, from student work experience to special internships in ongoing projects. A period of up to two weeks makes sense for internships with a primarily information-gathering character; a longer period of time is worth considering if the individual conditions make possible active collaboration in one or more areas of work.
 
Because of the high demand, preference is given to applicants who are currently in a conventional training programme; for example library internship or voluntary service, a university of applied sciences education or the FAMI (Media and information Service Specialist  - Fachangestellter für Medien- und Informationsdienste]) training programme.
 
We request that applications be submitted along with an indication of the desired areas of focus, as well as a curriculum vitae or school leaving certificate, and internship or work reference at least three months in advance of the beginning of the desired internship. It is strongly recommended to apply even earlier.
