Building 1

In building 1 of the TIB/UB you will find predominantly newer literature, the majority of which is kept in storage and which can be ordered online.

Propadeutic literature and foundational works are categorized by topic in several specialized reading rooms and can also be borrowed there. In the textbook collection, multiple copies each of various titles are offered for lending.

It is possible to use the reading rooms and to return and check out lending material before 9:00 a.m. on weekdays and after 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Stacks, information, and registration are closed.

  Architecture, civil engineering, art, sanitary and safety technology, environmental protection
   
• Chemistry reading room:
  Biochemistry, biology, chemistry, medicine, process engineering/chemical engineering
   
• Earth sciences reading room:
  General, geodesy, geography, earth sciences, agriculture and forestry, regional planning and urban development, linguistics (dictionaries)
   
• Mathematics reading room:
  Astronomy, computer science, mathematics, physics, general natural sciences
   
• Engineering reading room:
  Electrical engineering, power engineering, precision mechanics, manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, engineering, general engineering transportation, various industries, materials science
