How to find us

• city railway line 4 or 5, station Leibniz Universität
• city railway line 6 or 11, station An der Christuskirche
• bus line 100 or 200, stations Königsworther Platz or An der Christuskirche

Travellers arriving by train have to walk from Hannover Main Station to city railway station “Kröpcke”. There you take line 4 (direction “Garbsen”) or line 5 (direction “Stöcken”). Please exit at the station “Leibniz Universität”.
Advice: Short Trip Tickets entitle passengers to travel up to the third stop after boarding light rails and trams. You will find information about tickets, fares and timetables at the Homepage of The Greater Hannover Transport Association (GVH) (see: timetables).
 
From Hannover Airport you can take the S5 Hannover Airport line to Hannover Main Station (duration: about 12 minutes), from there please follow the instructions above.
The drive to the city center by taxi takes about 20 minutes.
 
Please note that starting with January 1, 2008 Hannover has established an environmental zone. Vehicles with extremely high emissions of noxious substances will be banned from the inner city. The TIB/UB, the specialized libraries at Königsworther Platz and the specialized library social sciences lie within the environmental zone. Only vehicles of pollutant class 4, i.e. those with a green sticker are allowed.
