Journals Reading Room for educational sciences, law and economics

The Journals Reading Room at the specialized libraries at Königsworther Platz (FBK) contains periodicals from the fields of

• Educational Science
  The holdings include volumes from 1999 to the respective previous year. These volumes are bound and arranged by shelfmark. Older back issues can be ordered from the Closed Stacks (“Magazin”) via the catalogue and viewed at the FBK circulation desk.
   
• Law
  Here you can find completed series and over 370 current printed legal periodicals, collections of decisions, yearbooks, official publications, law gazettes and official journals.
   
• Economics
  Here you can completed series and around 700 current national and international economics trade journals, country and economic reports, statistical series and publications by institutions of the European Union. A small number of earlier EU publications, now available also online, can also be ordered from the Closed Stacks via the catalogue.

Loose issues of most periodicals from the current year can be found in the flap door cabinets. These are arranged alphabetically by title. 

These holdings are not loanable.

The Reading Room has 288 work places, five research work places and one universal workstation. This workstation is installed with an MS Office 2010 package and offers full web access. It is also equipped with a flat bed scanner and text recognition software (OCR).
